Le Thi Thu Huong obtained her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Architecture at the University of Architecture of Ho Chi Minh City (UAH), Vietnam. After that, she worked as a design architect at the Architecture and Construction Consultants Joint-stock Company (ACCCo) – one of the leading Architecture Institutes in Ho Chi Minh City – for three years while at the same time teaching at UAH as a lecturer. Then, she went to Thailand for her higher degrees in urban studies, of which she received M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Urban Environmental Management at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand.
Before working for Assumption University since 2013 as a lecturer and researcher, she worked for AIT and Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES, Japan). Her teaching mainly includes architecture design, urban planning, research methodology, and individual study in architecture. With a diverse background, her research interests cover a wide scope of architecture, urban planning, and sustainable development. She has also done several research projects and international publications in these areas. In addition, during the last fifteen years, she has also been invited as a visiting lecturer for different universities in Thailand (such as the Faculty of Arts, Silpakorn University; Faculty of Architecture, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang; Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University) as well outside Thailand (such as University of Architecture of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; Vietnamese-German University, Vietnam; Gadjah Mada University Bulaksumur, Yogyakarta, Indonesia). Her working experience has built up her wide network for international collaborations.
