School of Architecture and Design offers a multi-disciplinary study of creation that integrates art, science, and technology to make built environments and objects. Our international programs synchronize with current context and technology while experimenting with a novel design. A balanced combination of theory and practice constitutes a series of courses and studios that strengthen core knowledge and design skill. Our student body comprises 30% of international students from more than 30 countries. Naturally, students are immersed in a multicultural learning environment within a truly international University, preparing them to thrive as global citizens. The School’s active collaborations with professionals and the architecture and design industry also broaden students’ horizons and enhance opportunities in securing jobs as architects, designers, and design entrepreneurs.
Worawan Talodsuk holds a Bachelor of Architecture (Major in Interior Architecture) from King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (Thailand) and a Master of Architecture from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, USA. Starting as a young interior project designer at Archiplan (Thailand) Co, Ltd., she enthusiastically gained professional experiences and involved several residential and retail projects in Bangkok. After years of practice, Worawan pursued her Master degree in the US and, soon after graduation, joined Swanke Hayden Connell Architects in New York City where she had opportunity to learn professional life and architectural practice in an international level. Her project participation included interior planning and design of the Router’s Headquarter in Times Square.
Worawan has joined the Faculty of Architecture and Design, Assumption University since late 2002 and contributed her endless efforts to improve design education, especially for the junior years, focusing on the program’s fundamental courses namely Visual Design Basics, Architectural Drawings, and History of Art and Architecture. Along with the teaching dedication, she continues her design and construction career co-founding Rooftop Interior Design and Construction, Co.Ltd. in 2015 and is responsible for its studio’s design direction.
Moreover, with the mindful interest in contemporary art, the impact of social changes, and cross-disciplinary design, she also works as an aesthetic consultant at the world-recognized Pichet Klunchun Dance Company where other art’s creativity and production can be observed and learned.
