“On mass timber high-rises”
Adam Peacock has over 15 years’ experience working on Structural Engineering and Construction projects in New Zealand, including an indoor skydiving facility in Queenstown and being the Aurecon Project Leader of the Ministry of Education Earthquake Resilience Scheme. This experience, being in a high-seismic region developed my in-depth technical Structural Engineering and Seismic Design knowledge. His prior experience working in construction companies gives him a great insight into the buildability and site aspects of the construction industry. He has worked in Adelaide, Melbourne, Qatar, Vietnam, New Zealand, the Middle East, Singapore, Indonesia, and Hong Kong.
He has now been the leader of the Structural Team in Thailand in 2022. As Team Leader he has the privilege of guiding a talented team, with a clear vision to deliver high quality, innovative designs within a collaborative environment and bring the clients ideas to life.
In this lecture series, Adam Peacock will talk about design techniques introducing an innovative way to construct skyscrapers that remain unaffected even during seismic disturbances.
