Joyful Architecture – Another form of sustainability A Lecture by Astrid Klein Klein Dytham architecture Saturday, February 11, 2023 13.30-16.00 Alliance Française Bangkok

AAU, in collaboration with The Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage, art4d, See Jorakay and Alliance Française Bangkok – organized a special lecture event by Astrid Klein, the co-founder of Klein Dytham architecture. Astrid Klein graduated from the Royal College of Art in London. Together with Mark Dytham, she founded KDa in Tokyo in 1991. The studio’s work has a wide range of design approaches and is multidisciplinary in architecture, interior, public space, and installation. Their designs have won many international awards. Today KDa is a multi-cultural office with an international reputation and a high-profile client list that includes Google, Cartier, Sony, Virgin Atlantic, Nike, Uniqlo, Selfridges, and TOTO. KDa’s work includes hotels, flagship retail stores, restaurants, resort facilities, offices, houses and private residences. They have no stylistic recipe, preferring to work with the client, program, and other project parameters to develop a uniquely tailored solution. Materials, technology, and context are all key elements of KDa’s design approach, always spiced with an irreverent or surprising twist. The lecture will take place at the auditorium, Alliance Française Bangkok, on Saturday, February 11, 2023, from 13.30-16.00. If you are interested in attending Astrid Klein’s lecture, please make a reservation through the link https://bit.ly/3HV7hgK or call 02-2602606 or visit the Montfort del Rosario School of Architecture and Design page.
